The LEGO Movie Wins the AACTA Award for Best Visual Effects or Animation

On 29 January 2015, the team at Animal Logic frocked up and attended the glitzy AACTA Awards held at The Star Event Centre in Sydney.

This year we were so honoured to have been nominated twice for two of the latest films we worked on, The LEGO Movie and Walking with Dinosaurs.  Last night, The LEGO Movie was recognised by Australia and AACTA winning the Award for Best Animation and Visual FX for 2014.  The nominees for the Award, Amber Naismith (Associate Producer), Grant Freckelton (Production Designer) and Aidan Sarsfield (CG Supervisor) were there to accept the Award for all the cast and crew for the film and they were stoked to be recognised on this auspicious occasion.

We’d like to congratulate Phil Lord, Chris Miller (Directors), Chris McKay (Co-Director), Dan Lin from Lin Pictures, Warner Bros and LEGO for all their support during the creation of this film and congratulation to all the Animals for continuing to push the boundaries in storytelling and innovating to make The LEGO Movie the visual feast that it is!

Everything IS AWEsome!
