'Knowing' tells the story of professor John Koestler (Cage), who stumbles upon terrifying predictions of the future and sets out to prevent them from becoming true. The Animal Logic team delivered 247 shots over 12 key sequences, recreating various catastrophic disasters from an aircraft crashing across a busy freeway to a destructive subway collision, with each presenting a unique set of challenges.

The plane crash sequence required a great amount of detailed work, from the initial research and design of the CG aircraft and explosion, to the devastating aftermath. The dramatic sequence unfolds through one continuous three minute shot.
