The Rookies is a global annual competition and celebration of aspiring design and media entertainment artists.
With 3,458 inspiring entries from 89 countries the judges had quite the challenge of choosing the winners of this years competition.
Entrants were scored based on criteria including:
– Creative skills
– Technical skills
– Presentation
– Variety of skills
– Complexity
– Raw talent
– Employment potential

‘Xploro’ by Ben Skinner won Game of the Year – Mobile
‘Soundbender’ by Illia Statkevych won Game of the Year – Immersive Media
Huge round of applause for Michael Bond who will join the Academy next year after receiving the UTS Animal Logic Education Scholarship with his ‘3D Generalist Showreel’
